Bitter Melanin

Bitter Melanin

This collection started as a zine series that stemmed from wanting to put together pivotal moments of warmth and endearment and pain of a particular diasporic narrative. The first one highlights anxieties around identity. The second looks at migration pathways and challenges. The third encompasses the return of the self through contributions from the Filipino diaspora. Now compiled together with the addition of a forth which focuses on strengthening relationships and reimagining futures.
